Simple to Enter
How to enter
The Online Retail Awards really are simple to enter.
You'll need to do the following:
- write a brief descriptive paper.
- complete the online entry form
- upload your submission paper (prepared in advance offline)
- submit your completed entry
- pay the entry fee
Eligibility of entries: An online retailer, or their agency or e-commerce company, will be allowed to enter the 2012 awards if the website and online activity described took place between January 1 and December 31, 2011. Reference may be made to prior periods, if it helps the judges to view the online retailing activity in context, but entries will not be judged on past glories.
It is understood that a digital or advertising agency, PR consultancy, e-commerce or systems integration company may enter on behalf of a client, so it is important to make clear that any winner's trophy or certificate will be presented to the online retailer, though their agency may well wish to attend any presentation to receive the award and will share the credit with their client.
The closing date for entries is April 30 each year, giving time for anyone launching an end of year Seasonal or Sale site to evaluate their site and their results before submitting their entry. But remember, entries must have been available to online shoppers before midnight on December 31 the prior year.
Entry fees
To enter the Online Retail Awards you will need to pay the entry fee for each entry you make. This fee for 2012 will remain at GB£120 per entry (GB£100 plus value added tax of GB£20) . You will need to pay for your entries, online, at the time of entry and you will be taken to the payment page when you click the Submit button at the foot of the entry form. This may take a few seconds, so please be patient.
Payments via Google Checkout
Google Checkout is a flexible payment system. When you complete your ORA entry you will be taken to the payment page, where you will be able to pay for your entries using any internationally recognised credit or debit card. Please note: use of Solo cards has ceased, and American Express cards can only be used on Google Checkout for transactions inside the USA, so they cannot be used to pay for the Online Retail Awards.
