How to enter the Online Retail Awards
Who can enter
The Online Retail Awards really are simple to enter. A working URL submitted with a brief descriptive paper is all that is required. If your entry is for a seasonal site you must supply the URL for an archived site, which the judges may access. Multi-site operators must provide a working URL for each site in a multi-site entry (for example if Brand Alley wanted to enter their UK and French sites separately). All entry forms can be completed online and a submission paper can be prepared offline, on the desktop, before it is uploaded to the Online Retail Awards web site.
Eligibility of entries: An online retailer will be allowed to enter the awards if the web site and online activity described has taken place between January 1 and December 31. Reference may be made to prior periods if it helps the judges to view the online retailing activity in context, but entries will not be judged on past glories.
In some instances, it is understood that a PR or advertising agency may enter on behalf of a client, so it is important to make clear that any winner's trophy will be presented to the online retailer, though their agency may well wish to attend any Awards presentation to receive the award with their client.
The closing date for entries is March 31 each year, giving time for anyone launching an end of year Seasonal or Sale site to evaluate their site and their results before submitting their entry. But remember, entries must have been available to online shoppers before midnight on December 31 the prior year.
Payments via Paypal
PayPal is a flexible payment system. When you complete your ORA entry you will be taken to the PayPal page. If you are already a PayPal account holder, log in in the usual way. If you just want to pay by credit card, do not log in but click on the Continue button at the bottom of the page. You will then proceed to the secure payment page.
